Basu has two decades of experience in building software products, with 7 years in the healthcare industry. Starting his career as an engineer, he served on various roles in Engineering, Product Development, Product Management and Leadership.
As the VP of Platform Products at BrightInsight, Basu has overall accountability for leading and managing the platform and mobile vision, strategy, and roadmap for the entire BrightInsight platform. In this role, he manages the organization of product managers, program managers and UI/UX designers, as well as collaborates with marketing, sales, operations, and delivery teams. Basu drives innovative product ideas, and brings them to market through his leadership, thoughtful analysis, and quick execution, as well as provides the overall long term vision for the BrightInsight Platform.
Prior to BrightInsight, Basu spent 5 years at Veeva and was a Director of Products in Veeva Vault Platform. He was instrumental in creating and growing various aspects of Veeva Vault. He helped scale Vault Platform from a small team to a large cloud enterprise content management platform for Healthcare. His experience at Veeva Vault will be very relevant to our work at BrightInsight.
Basu has also served & led in product and engineering roles at Syncplicity by EMC, Oracle & Adobe & mentors his teams to build high quality products. Basu is extremely focused on customer success and bringing the latest technologies to our patients in an easily consumable way.
Basu has MS in Computer Science from UC Irvine and BS from Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) Kharagpur, India.
